When you are looking for a veterinary clinic you should be able to count on superior care and excellent service. We at the Suffolk Veterinary Group Animal Wellness & Laser Surgery Center in New York have assembled an expert Veterinary Team of professionals to bring you the best possible healthcare for your pet.
We have a state of the art veterinary facility which is clean, comfortable, and efficient. Call 631-696-2400 to schedule an appointment and we will find a time that is convenient for you.
At least once a year, you should take your pet in for a comprehensive physical examination and consultation with a trusted veterinarian that keeps your pet’s medical history on file at their office. This will ensure your pet is receiving optimal care that is just right for them, and that certain trends in their health or behavior don’t go unnoticed.
Dr. Winkler will personally check the health of your pet from head to tail with a comprehensive physical exam, keep a record of your pet’s medical history on file, provide certifications for grooming, boarding or travel, write prescriptions for medications, and make recommendations such as vaccination, dental care, nutritional care, and laser medicine options so that you can take the very best care of your pet. We are always happy to answer any questions you may have to ensure that you have a complete understanding as to your pet’s particular needs.
If you are visiting that day for an illness, your pet’s visit may include diagnostic blood work, radiographs, ocular tonometry, or other treatments to determine the cause of your pet’s sickness, and the best possible way to get them on the road to recovery the fastest.
Bring in any medical history you have of your pet when you come to our vet clinic. It’s best to keep a journal of your pet’s health throughout his or her life, including behavioral changes. If you have something like this, share it with our team. If not, let us know everything that you think will be important. Dr. Winkler can still work with whatever information you have.
Our patient’s visits are approximately 30 to 45 minutes long to give you ample time to ask all your questions, and to discuss with you treatment options. Some visits may be longer or shorter depending upon the needs of the patient, and we strive to pace ourselves to keep wait times as short as possible, which is why we require scheduled appointment times.
In some circumstances, Dr. Winkler will refer you to a specialist who has advanced expertise in areas such as internal medicine or orthopedics. We work very closely with all the specialty animal hospitals on Long Island so your special companion can receive excellent care from professionals that are at the top of their disciplines.
Thank you for taking a moment to find out more about what you and your pet will experience during their visit to Suffolk Veterinary Group Animal Wellness & Laser Surgery Center. If you have any special requests or need additional information, please do not hesitate to call us at 631-696-2400.
