Long Island has a lot of local attractions and events that you can enjoy with your pets. On this page we’re providing links to ways that you and your pet can enjoy our Town of Brookhaven and greater community together.

Please, to ensure the safety of yourself, your pet, and others anytime you anticipate taking your pet into public, make sure they are fully vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and are appropriately restrained with a leash or harness. Identification with a microchip is also highly recommended for pets that go out in public due to the possibility of them bolting if startled. We have also had reports of pets getting infested with ticks at certain locations, so make sure that before you go your pet is on their monthly flea, tick and heartworm preventative medication!

Participation in any one location may have requirements specific to that area, follow park rules at all time so that our pets may always be welcomed. Always remember to pick up your pet’s poop to keep these places sanitary for everyone. We want to go home with treasured memories, not stinky shoes!

If you know of a pet friendly location or activity on Long Island you would like to see included on this page, please do not hesitate to call 631-696-2400, or contact us via email at SuffolkVetGroup@optonline.net. We look forward to providing our families and friends with as much information about pet related activities on Long Island as possible.
