Hospital Policies

At The Suffolk Veterinary Group Animal Wellness & Laser Surgery Center, we’re on a mission to provide the best possible veterinary care all with high quality service to our communities of Selden, Centereach, Coram, Port Jefferson, and Farmingville. The following pages are provided in regards to information you might want to know before scheduling an appointment with us, or about the latest happenings at our hospital. Please, take a moment to read through some of our policies.

Our Office Hours & Appointment Policy

We make it our priority to faithfully be available during our posted business hours a great majority of the time. You can always call our office at 631-696-2400, and if we are unavailable, you are welcome to leave a non-urgent message with our voice messaging system, which we will return on the next available business day.

Reduced Hours of Operation

These may occur at times due to inclement weather or family emergencies where our Veterinary Team might become unavailable, and the hospital will be closed as a result. We will make our best efforts to insure that all appointments are re-scheduled promptly, and that our valued clients are kept notified of any and all changes in our hours of operation in a timely fashion. Thank you for your understanding. “Like” us on Facebook as we can often reach the most people via posts to our Facebook Page of any immediate closings or change in hours.

Leashes & Carriers Are Required For Pet Safety

For the safety of all our patients and their families, we require that all pets brought to our hospital wear a leash, or be in a carrier. All cats should be in a carrier to protect them from unwanted intrusion into their personal space. If you don’t have a leash or carrier at that moment, please request to borrow one from our Front Desk before you let your pet out of your car. Our streets here are very busy, and we would be devastated if your pet got loose and ran onto Middle Country Road during rush hour traffic.

Call 631-696-2400 if you have any questions regarding any of our animal hospital in Selden policies.
